About Us

Greens Bistro is a small cosy restaurant with a low ceiling and romantic alcoves. The reputation of the restaurant has grown thanks to brilliance of the chef and the warm welcome. Paul and Anna Webster own and run this unique Bistro and both believe that their success is due to the excellent food and hospitality. The Bistro has had a great aclaim in both local and national newspapers, including 'The Sun'. Just one year after opening, the Bistro received a rosette 'AA' rating.

The Bistro was set up in 1999 when Paul (originally from St. Annes) and Anna returned from working at many top restaurants. His impressive résumé includes working in 'The Ritz', as well as being the Head Chef at many of London restaurants including; 'The Depot Waterfront Brasserie' - Mortlake High Street, 'Café Des Amis Du Vin' - Covent Garden and Senoir Sous Chef at 'The Criterion' - Piccadilly.

As well as these Paul has worked in Australia, Bermuda, Sweden, Canada and on the QE II, where he has acquired a wealth of cullinary skills and knowledge.

The restaurant also provides more than just great food, service and atmosphere. Lessons in how to cook have been given to local school children in effort to keep the art of cooking alive.
